New Licensing Partners: Old Dominion and Saginaw Valley State

As Nudge continues its slow path towards world licensing dominance, we are happy to announce two more colleges for whom we are licensed vendors: Saginaw Valley State University and Old Dominion University!

Saginaw Valley State is just a short drive from Nudge Printing International Headquarters, and a quick search on Amazon told us that there isn't a whole lot for SVSU alumni or students to pick from in terms of quality apparel and merchandise, so we thought they made perfect sense to add to our collection as we pursue licensing every college in the state. 

Founded in 1968 with a Cardinals mascot, we have a full slate of products available now with their logos and branding, primarily using the main "SV" logo underneath the Cardinal head. Their logos lend themselves nicely to be readily printed on almost any color shirt within their pallette (the SVSU university crest also has blue, and we considered offering the same logo on a royal blue shirt - if there is enough demand, we can definitely make that an option!). 

Although there are plenty of teams and schools with Cardinals mascots (St. Louis, Arizona, Louisville, etc), their Cardinal logo is one of the best. It looks sleek with clean curves and minimal line-work that mimics feathers so it looks great on any piece of apparel or merchandise that you want.

The second school that approved our application is Old Dominion in Norfolk, Virginia, a much larger school than SVSU with about 24,000 enrolled students. Some local fans of our site might recognize that school from former Tigers legend Justin Verlander, who was a Monarch in the early 2000s before being drafted by Detroit. The university got its name from the state nickname of Virginia, "The Old Dominion".

Founded in 1930, ODU has a vast array of varsity athletics, and just an incredible branding system. Like SVSU, the color scheme works nicely on navy, charcoal, or lighter gray apparel, and a number of combinations of their logos look great any way you look at it. From the shield to the lion, to the logo with everything in between, all of ODU's logos are great from light to dark colors. 

Unfortunately unlike SVSU, we only have two car decals, two cornhole decals, and a t-shirt for right now, but as time goes by and we start to get some more ODU traction, we'll definitely be putting more logos on more shirts - who doesn't love more powder blue, right?
